The first time you connect to a network, you’ll be prompted to turn on sharing and connect to devices. Turn on this settings will set your network location to private. A private network makes your computer discoverable to other PCs. If you don’t want to share musics, pictures, videos or even printers with other PCs on the network, you should set the network type to public. Disable the Animations in Windows 10

  Click on the  Start  button, and click on  Settings  situated above the  Power  button. In the  Settings  pane, click on  Ease of Access . Select the  Display  option from the left-hand side of the window. On the right-hand side of the window, scroll down to find  Simplify and Personalize Windows . Find  Show Animations in Windows  below that and turn off-the button to disable animations.

  If your Windows  is running slow, you can disable visual effects to improve the performance. Depending on the amount of RAM on your PC, disabling visual effects might make negligible to significant impact on Windows s performance. Disabling all Windows  visual effects or disabling specific visual effects is easy. You don’t need to edit Registry or system files to disable visual effects Right click my Computer or this pc and select Properties  Switch to the  Advanced  tab. In the  Performance  section, click  Settings  button. You should now see Performance options dialog choose  Adjust for best performance  if you want to turn off all visual effects and gain the best possible system performance. Finally, click  Apply  button

Disabling Startup Programs in Windows 10 or 8 or 8.1

  Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 make it really simple to disable startup applications. All you have to do is open up Task Manager by right-clicking on the Taskbar, or using the CTRL + SHIFT + ESC shortcut key, clicking “More Details,” switching to the Startup tab, and then using the Disable button. It’s really that simple. If you aren’t seeing these options, make sure to click “More Details,” which is in the same place as the “Fewer details” that you see on this screenshot.

  If you’re running the very latest version of Windows 10, there’s a new Startup Apps management panel that makes it super easy to disable startup programs   Click the Windows logo at the bottom left of your screen, or press the Windows key on your keyboard. Then search and select "Startup Apps."   Windows will sort the applications that open on startup by their impact on memory or CPU usage. If you're experiencing slow startups, start by disabling the programs at the top and work down.   If you don't recognize a program on this list, then it might be a good idea to search its name in your internet browser to see if it's important. Either you'll find out what it's there for, or realize that it's unwanted software that you should consider uninstalling.

Disabling Startup Programs in Windows 7, Vista, or XP

  The more software you install on your computer, the longer it may seem to take to start up Windows. Many programs add themselves to the list of programs started when you boot your computer, and that list can get long. Press  Windows   Key + R   button Type “msconfig”  press ok button Click the Startup tab on the System Configuration main window. A list of all the startup programs displays with a check box next to each one. To prevent a program from starting up with Windows, select the check box next to the desired program so there is NO check mark in the box. Click OK once you have made your choices A dialog box displays telling you that you may need to restart your computer for the changes to take affect. Click Restart to restart your computer immediately. If are not ready to restart your computer, click Exit without restart.
